Jayne asks: Do I have to write my national insurance number on my CV?

In answer:
No – and in actual fact it never should be shown to anyone except your (contracted) employer, or the Inland Revenue!

Your National Insurance number is as valuable as your passport, and certainly more valuable than your driving license.

See our guide on CV Security for more information on what information you should/should not include on your CV.

Good Luck!
